About Micosa

Micosa is a well established progressive engineering company serving the mining and other industries for almost 20 years. In the early days Micosa focussed on the electrical industry where many of its original products including Infra Red Scanning Surveys, Mines Shaft Signalling products amongst others was born, that focus is still prevalent today. Amongst our wide range of products Micosa offers a comprehensive range of standard as well as SABS Approved High Voltage Distribution and Power Transformers, Transformer "Core Coil Assemblies" as well as Underground and Surface Mini Sub Stations. Micosa's patented "PORTABLE REMOTE SWITCHING DEVICE" is optional and can be fitted and installed on the newly build Mini Sub OR it can be sold loose for use on all other mini sub stations in use.Transformer Oil sampling, Oil Purification and "Rewinding" Services became a natural extension of the above. 

Micosa entered the Lighting Market with a Unique Patented Low Wattage Energy Saver Bulk Head Light Fitting aimed at all mining, industrial and commmercial applications and industries.

 

Micosa introduced the FIRST SA DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL "KELPI' key-lock interlocking key-lock switch/systems in competition to and as a direct replacement for the imported range of Castell Key Locks. Following this succesfull product our Electro Mechanical Division was born and is supported by a well equipped and modern tool-room.
